Koliko punjenja je potrebno na ruti?
Vršna snaga punjenja je marketinška brojka koja se drži nekoliko minuta. Ono što određuje vaše putovanje je prosječna snaga u rasponu koji zapravo koristite.
Krivulja punjenja
Baterija ne prihvaća energiju konstantnom brzinom. Snaga je najviša pri niskom stanju punjenja i opada kako se paket puni, jer ubrizgavanje struje u gotovo punu ćeliju riskira taloženje litija i trajnu štetu. Modeli brzog punjenja na razini ćelije izravno opisuju ovo ponašanje [3].
Dakle, dva automobila koja oglašavaju istu vršnu snagu mogu se razlikovati za petnaest minuta na istom stajalištu, ovisno o tome koliko dugo svaki drži snagu prije nego što opadne. Automobil koji ima niži vrh, ali ga drži ravnijim, često je brži u praksi.
Brzina punjenja i stanje punjenja
Zašto 10-80%
Ispod otprilike 10% riskirate da stignete bez margine. Iznad otprilike 80% opadanje je dovoljno strmo da čekate dugo vremena na malu količinu energije. Punjenje od 80 do 100 može trajati koliko i od 10 do 80.
Za dugu vožnju, dva stajališta od 10-80 gotovo uvijek su bolja od jednog stajališta od 10-100 plus kraćeg drugog. Izuzetak je posljednji dio, gdje visoko punjenje jednom ima smisla jer ne plaćate kaznu za opadanje dvaput.

Istraživanje umora vozača dosljedno podržava redovite pauze na dugim vožnjama, a interval koji se pojavljuje blizu je onoga što moderni električni automobil ionako treba. Stajalište koje mrzite kao ograničenje punjenja je stajalište koje biste trebali uzeti.
Ono što ga čini podnošljivim je gdje stajete. Punjač u neosvijetljenom trgovačkom parkiralištu bez sadržaja je drugačije iskustvo od onog povezanog s mjestom gdje biste jeli — što je slučaj za naš motorway food site.
